I hate, and am terrified of clowns because of two things:
story 1: My parents have NEVER EVER been over protective, they've been more underprotected so when I was 6, we watched "Poltergeist"(i'm not sure if it was the 1st of the 2nd but anyways..) and it came to this one part where this little girl is in her room and in her bed and there's this stuffed clown with long arms and legs sitting on the end of the bed. She closes her eyes for a second and then the clown is GONE! and is now behind her strangling her to death. Well, I share a room with my sister and on her shelf there is a stuffed clown that looks almost IDENTICAL to the one from the movie. This always creeped me out but since it was facing the other way I was okay with it. Then one night I woke up and looked over towards the shelf and the clown is facing towards me!!!! I never figured out how it happened but now the clown is put away.
2: When I was about the same age I watched the movie "IT". I am now terrified to go into the bathroom or have showers because the clown is going to come out of the drain and kill me. And also, now I'm afraid of the drainage grates by the sidewalk because I think a clown will appear out of it.
You should question anyones sanity if they dress up in giant shoes and wear makeup.... :o
