Hello everyone!
I am a student at an university in DC area. for my English class, I picked this topic, clowns. there are three issues I want to research on it.
1. why people hate clowns.
2. more clowns are talking more than they act in thier show, less visually funny.
3. Using clowns as teachers in education cirriculum.
I realize this is the wrong place to announce my research, but I want your insights on this issue- why people hate clowns. I've come up with questions to further investigate. here they are,
1. why do some people hate or fear clowns?
2. what caused it?
3. why haven't they overcome thier fear or hate of clowns?
4. can they overcome it?
5. if they have the opportunity to change clowns, what would it be?
6. clownhaters who have children who enjoy clowns, how was it handled?
7. if people don't like clowns, what about comedians? markx brothers? laurel and hardy? how do you find them? (besides dead ;o) )
After reading few stories here on the website, I will have to disregard questions number three and four because they are allowed to hate or fear. and I can see they have no plans on overcoming the hate/fear of clowns.
Why such a topic? I am a clown and Deaf. yes, I have encounter few children and adults who dislike clowns and I don't go after them. I simply walk away and let them have their fun in other part of the event I'm at.
I can see that I probably will never understand your side and that's okay. this is my opportunity to improve my clown tacts toward people.
I hope I will hear from you without getting hurt. I'm only doing my homeowrk for a class. I don't plan on changing your perspective on clowns or anything.
