Fear of Mascots

Hey guys. I have the fear of clowns pretty bad, but here's my question. Is there a different term for the fear of mascots? Our mascot at Univ of North Texas is this person dressed up as an eagle and every time he/she's been near me, I start shaking and I know if he/she gets right next to me I will start shaking even more. My friends think its VERY weird to not only have a fear of clowns, but of mascots too. And no, I had no incidents happen with either clowns or mascots when I was younger. Any information would be well appreciated. Thanks. =)

I'm with you. I don't like Clowns, Mascots, Puppets, Mimes or anything of those things. Mascots are a lot like clowns, they just don't talk, but they are still hiding behind a costume. Freakish Bastards!

How come all your friends seem to have a problem with coulrophobia? Yeesh, mine are afraid too. lol

Well, there is probobly a name for being afraid of mascots but I'm sorry to say I can't find it. Just don't go to any school functions anymore, is my best advice. sorry! :oops:
