Well since this is an "anti-clown" site, I probably shouldn't be on here. While I was searching for a little poem for the children I do charity work for (I was searching on google), I noticed this webpage. I am completely disgusted at what I am seeing.
There are "immature children" on here, talking about how they would like to kill clowns, and such. And then there are more children pretending to be clowns, and gives us 'clowns' a bad reputation.
Please, consider this:
"Clowns have feelings to. We just hide them under our makeup so others may laugh."

Hi clown.

First off, I assume that you know that the fear of clowns is recognised by the AMA as coulrophobia. And that common coping mechanisms for fears often include feelings of hurt, mistrust, and talk of violence toward the subject.

Even were those not considered, some people just don't like clowns and do not want to be harassed by them. At the very least a clown being willing to take the hint and leave a person that is clearly disturbed by your appearance/antics alone would be a good start. It seems that not recognising that 'not everybody loves clowns' is part of perpetuating the anti-clown feelings.

So, you can stand there and mock everyone if you want, trying to take the "holyer than thou" approach by calling everyone "immature children", and the like; or you can try to be mature about it and maybe change the way we see clowns by trying to show that they can be good human beings too. Although with that condecending tone you took, I really doubt you have that in you.

Last I heard, clowns are still permitted here. As long as you are nice and respectful to everyone and it should be reciprocal. Those that really do have problems with clowns will probably stay as far away from you as they can. Depending on how you act, you just might be able to get a few people to think that not all clowns are bad...

Sonny, most people on this site have a very good reason for fearing and/or hating clowns. So many people get bad experiences with them. Now I understand there may be nothing wrong with you, but you're a rarity. Clowns seem very fake to me, they hide behind make up and pretend to be your friend (but actually having the oposite effect) but it's just so fake. As portrayed by Krusty the Clown from the Simpsons (i.e. when he's not performing, you see him drinking booze and smoking and complaining). Plus it's a fact that clowns seem to scare or annoy more children then entertain them. I've been looking at this site for a few months now, and no-one here seems to be lieing about their experiences. So you try to call us immature now!

Do you drive with your clown suit on? That it is truly one of the worst things that clowns tend to do. It is distracting to other drivers and their big feet and hair and stuff get in the way, so they are prone to accidents. CLOWNS SHOULD NOT DRIVE!!!!.
